http://www.mhra.gov.uk/NewsCentre/CON068470Reductil's active ingredient is sibutramine hydrochloride monohydrate, which is a type of anti-obesity medicine. Reductil works as an appetite suppressant to aid weight loss. With a calorie controlled diet and regular physical exercise, you can expect to lose a significant amount of weight with Reductil.
Reductil works as neurotransmitter reuptake inhibitor that helps to maintain the brain’s natural level of serotonin and norepinephrine. Reductil prevents these chemicals from being reabsorbed into the brain which helps give you a feeling of fullness. This helps you to eat less, manage your weight loss and in turn lower your obesity. Consuming a reduced calorie diet combined with regular exercise is recommended when taking Reductil for maximum weight loss effects.
Reductil comes in a capsule form, in 2 different strengths; 10mg and 15mg. The recommended dosage for Reductil is to take 1 10mg or 15 mg tablet a day at least an hour prior to eating. For the best results, take Reductil in the morning just before your first meal of the day.
Reductil helps you to lose weight and importantly, keep it off for good. Reductil is approved to take for up to 12 months, and promotes gradual weight loss over the course of this recommended treatment period. People who take Reductil sibutramine lose 2 or 3 times more weight compared to those who are on conventional weight loss programs consisting of just dieting and exercise alone.
Possible, Reductil side effects include restlessness, nervousness or anxiety, mild headache, dizziness, insomnia, dry mouth, and constipation. Other severe side effects include allergic reactions (difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, swelling of the lips, tongue, face; or hives), irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, severe headache, blurred vision, and seizures. You must inform your doctor, if any side effects become persistent and/or severe.
There are certain people who should not take Reductil and there are certain conditions for which Reductil is not beneficial. Do not take Reductil if you have any of the following conditions:
Tell your doctor about all the possible conditions you have and any medications you may currently be taking. You might face problems with Reductil, if you keep your doctor uninformed about your condition.
